As an Overhaul Business Engineer, you will be an integral part of our on-site Overhaul Support Team (OST) at the ANA Engine Maintenance Building in Tokyo. This team is accountable for ensuring that the ANA shop delivers a high-quality, on-time, and cost-competitive service for our customers. You will play a key role in managing and removing roadblocks within the overhaul activity cycle to facilitate operational performance, focusing on turnaround time (TRT) and cost efficiency.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide operational support to engines in the ANA shop throughout the Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) process.

  • Deliver technical support to ANA shop overhaul activities, including managing technical investigations on behalf of Rolls-Royce.

  • Report on ex-service engine part conditions, analyzing engineering and commercial trends.

  • Oversee the financial and commercial management of engine shop visits, working closely with the shop to identify mutually agreeable outcomes.

  • Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives to optimize performance and efficiency.

  • Collaborate with and support the resident Overhaul Business Manager to achieve shared objectives.

  • Ensure adherence to Rolls-Royce quality, safety, and compliance standards.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (mechanical, aerospace, or equivalent) or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Strong ability to comprehend complex technical information and effectively communicate it to colleagues locally and globally.

  • Proven track record of driving problem-solving initiatives in a technical environment.

  • Technical understanding of Trent 1000 engines or similar commercial aircraft engines.

  • Solid understanding of overhaul shop practices, technical publications, airline operational requirements, and Rolls-Royce products, particularly in repair and service engineering.

  • Familiarity with TotalCare® and its administration, including warranties and guarantees.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office systems.

  • Knowledge of the Japanese language is beneficial but not essential.
