Job Description

Job Title: Shop Attendant

Working Pattern: Onsite

Working Location: Savannah, GA

An exciting opportunity as arisen for a Shop Attendant. The Shop Attendant will be based at the Savannah, GA On-Wing Services facility. In this role you will be assisting in the day-to-day operations as needed, help in issuance of tool room items, help prepare tooling and parts for shipping, help with shipping and receiving, loading and unloading of engines, engine movements, maintaining shop 5S, general assigned duties and tasks.

What you will be doing:

  • Deliver and remove engines to and from the maintenance shop
  • Maintain engine and material Shipping/Receiving documentation per the repair station quality system
  • Maintain outside tool yard, proper storage and inventory of all tooling in the yard
  • Ensure shop technicians are equipped with properly maintained tooling and inventory / serviceability of returned tooling
  • Maintaining on site equipment, i.e., Forklifts, lifting and slinging devices
  • Assist in maintaining calibrated tool status and ensure that the shop is a safe and clean environment with consumables restocked and in a presentable manor
  • Obtain forklift certification for the loading and unloading of aircraft engines
  • Ability to work in inclement weather, lift engine components or tooling up to approximately 50 pounds in weight and work weekends, extended hours and/or shift work and work an on-call schedule

Basic Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED (General Educational Development) with 3+ years of experience with aviation tooling, OR
  • Associate's degree with 2+ years of experience with aviation tooling
  • This position is a FAA designated safety-sensitive position.  Selected candidate must successfully complete a FAA/DOT pre-employment background check, a FAA/DOT drug screen that tests for the presence of Marijuana, Cocaine, Opiates, Phencyclidine and Amphetamines (or metabolites of those drugs) and comply with FAA-mandated rules on drug and alcohol use.
  • In order to be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident

Preferred Requirements:

  • Forklift certified
  • Machine shop, asset panda and audit experience
  • Computer experience – Excel and Word
  • Familiarity with aviation tooling drawings and repair
